We are a partnership of experienced and skilled individuals who work collaboratively and independently on a range of projects spanning science, engineering, and finance.

Our experience is from a mixture of private, academic, and third sector. Hephaestus Ptnrs. gives us the ability to work on non-standard contract lengths and hours.

Dr. Tomás Sherwen

PhD MChem MRSC MRMetS

Experienced Researcher, Data Scientist, and Published Author with a specialism in Python and co-ordinating multi-stakeholder collaborative projects. Tomás spent 10 years in academia, working on geoscience, numerical modelling, future fuels, & data science. After an international career working with collaborators on projects across the Americas, Europe, Africa and Asia and achieving a high output (Google Scholar), Tomás held a permanent joint role as a Research Scientist for the National Centre for Atmospheric Science (NCAS) and as a Research Fellow (Asst. Prof.) at a Russell Group University before he then founded Hephaestus Partners with colleagues and peers.

Currently Tomás has the availability to take on contracts for up to 3 days per week over the next 3 to 6 months.

Senior Design Engineer with a particular passion for Human Centred Research techniques. Multidisciplinary experience of product design across mechanical, hardware and software, with over 9 years working on high volume consumer sporting equipment. Excellent at translating the big-picture value proposition into the detailed product design. Strong technical communicator.
